Motor Vehicle Accidents
Motor vehicle accident litigation is a significant part of our litigation practice. The members of Kelly, Parker & Cohen LLP have more than 50 years combined litigation experience and are some of the leading authorities in Pennsylvania motor vehicle law. We represent clients in wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury cases and in uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) cases.
The members of Kelly, Parker & Cohen LLP will act quickly to investigate the accident, interview witnesses, obtain a police report, review medical records, retain appropriate expert witnesses and gather as much evidence as possible to protect our clients' rights.
In Pennsylvania, the types of claims that can be brought are limited by the coverage selected in an insurance policy. We will review your insurance policy to determine what types of claims can be made under the policy.
For example, individuals who have selected the limited tort coverage option generally may bring a claim only for economic losses. However, claims for pain and suffering can be brought if the insured party sustained a permanent impairment of bodily function or a serious injury. Other exceptions also may apply.
On the other hand, individuals who have selected the full tort coverage option may seek reimbursement for medical bills, lost wages, incidental expenses and pain and suffering.
